Hey There Folks - I am stocking a 135 from scratch as i moved my previous show tank to a new 175. I am looking for mostly tanganyikan's but open to mixing in some haps as well. I guess i was hoping to see what folks are thinking of bringing to the auction and figured i would list the ones i know i will be looking for. my hope is to get a big stocking of smaller fish and then pick the ones i like over time and re-sell the others... my list:

Alto Comp and/or Calvus, Cyps, little fronts, julies, neolamps (brichardi, daff, pulch), maybe one of the gobies

As for haps, i am hoping for rostratus and bucco's and would really love to find some lethrinops, although i am not holding my breath.... finally - to the breeder of those fire peacocks - holy cow, these are nice, but i need a few more females as my trio turned out to be reverse and they are hammering her!

Finally - i am kicking myself for not getting all those Gold-head comps that were at the auction last time - my fingers are crossed whomever that was will have more for us in march!

well - looking forward to next month! see you there....

Is it safe to assume that the auction is gonna be at the same bat time and same bat channel in Lakewood?

Just another reminder, the Auction is THIS Saturday!

The 2010 Spring auction will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on March 13th. The church is located at Wadsworth and 21st in Lakewood. This is 6 blocks north of Colfax. The doors will open at 9:00 am and the auction will start at 11:00 am. There are three ways to participate in the auction.

First, you can be a seller by bringing fish to be auctioned and/or a buyer of fish that are brought by someone else. This is the traditional way we have used for years and is what the majority if us do. The first dollar of an auctioned item goes to the RMCA and the remainder is split 80% to the seller (if a member) and 20% to the RMCA. The split for a non-member is 60/40.

Second, you can bring used equipment and just about anything else of an aquatic nature for the quick sale table except live fish. You set the asking price which the bidder must meet. In order to clear the quick sale table, prices are reduced 10% every hour starting at 2:00 pm to 50% of the original price. If you don't like the price reduction, the item can be removed from the quick sale table by notifying the checkout desk. The quick sale table will be open throughout the auction. Any items left on the quick sale table after the auction will be considered donations to the RMCA. The first dollar of a sold quick sale item goes to the RMCA and the remainder is split 80% to the seller (if a member) and 20% to the RMCA. The split for a non-member is 60/40.
