He now lives in Salem Utah where he operates a tropical fish hatchery specializing in cichlids from Lake Tanganyika. The hatchery has 240 fish tanks. He has written articles for Tropical Fish Hobbyist and Cichlid News magazines. His day job for 40 years was operating two camera stores in the Provo, Utah area. His articles and lectures include professional quality slides and video. He has spawned some unusual fish such as Monodactylus sebae, Bathybates minor, Lampricthys tanganicanus and Enantiopus sp. “Kilesa”. He has spoken at aquarium clubs in Cleveland, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Denver, Tucson, Phoenix, San José, Minneapolis, Chicago, Sacramento and at the American Cichlid Association convention in Denver.
